URIEL™ — Terms of Service

The agreement between us.

These terms govern your use of URIEL™. They set out what the service is, what it is not, how billing works, and where responsibility sits. Last updated 17 October 2026.

Who you are contracting with

The company behind URIEL.

URIEL™ is provided by Young Ethical Intelligence, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Houston, Texas ("YEI", "we", "us").

These Terms govern your access to and use of URIEL, including this website, the application at app.urielei.com, and any assessment or interpretation service you purchase. By creating an account, starting a free trial or making a payment, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Our handling of personal information is set out in the Data Protection & Governance page, and cancellation is governed by the Cancellation and No-Contract Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

Scope

What URIEL is, and what it is not.

URIEL is decision intelligence infrastructure. It provides structured reflection to support a person making a decision. It is a tool. It does not make decisions and it does not act on your behalf.

The following define the service and are fundamental to the bargain between us:

  • URIEL is not a medical device. It is non-diagnostic. It is not Software as a Medical Device and not a clinical decision support system within the meaning of applicable medical device regulation. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition.
  • URIEL is not therapy, counselling or psychological treatment, and using it does not create a therapist–client, physician–patient, or any other professional–client or fiduciary relationship between you and YEI, Dr. D. Ivan Young, or anyone associated with us.
  • URIEL is not a crisis, emergency or urgent-support service. It is not monitored in real time. If you need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional.
  • URIEL is not legal, financial, medical or regulatory advice.
  • The decision, and responsibility for it, remains yours. Where you are a licensed professional, every clinical and professional determination remains yours and is governed by your own professional obligations.

Eligibility and your account

Who may use URIEL.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. URIEL is built for adults. It is not designed for, directed at, or to be used by children.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared. Where you purchase more than one seat, each seat is for one named individual.

Billing

Subscriptions, trials and charges.

Plans and prices. Current plans and prices are published on the models page. Prices are shown and charged in the currency of the country you select at checkout.

Free trial. Where a free trial is offered it runs for seven (7) days. You are not charged for the subscription during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged the then-current price.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time. There is no minimum term, no fixed-term contract and no early termination fee.

Assessments. An assessment suite is a separate one-time charge, taken at the time of purchase and not part of the subscription. It is charged per person. Cancellation of that charge is governed by the Cancellation Policy.

Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Price changes. We may change prices. Any change takes effect at your next renewal and we will give at least thirty (30) days’ notice by email. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

Acceptable use

What you agree not to do.

You agree not to use URIEL for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another user’s account or data; reverse engineer, scrape or extract the underlying models, prompts or methodology; resell or sublicense access; or present URIEL’s output as professional advice or as the product of a qualified professional.

You must not input material you have no right to share, including another person’s confidential or health information, unless you are lawfully entitled to do so.

Your content

What you write stays yours.

You retain all rights in the material you put into URIEL. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely in order to provide the service to you.

Account storage and continuing context. The signed-in application stores your profile, conversations, summaries, goals and memory records to support your continuing experience. Some information is processed into embeddings so relevant context can be retrieved in later sessions. Storage for this continuing context is different from training a model; these Terms do not establish third-party provider training or retention terms. See the Data Protection & Governance page for the current account-storage and access disclosures.

Where a seat is sponsored. Where an organisation pays for your seat, that organisation receives no access to your sessions. The current application provides no employer reporting dashboard and no reporting of your activity to a sponsor. A sponsor’s rights are limited to the commercial relationship.

Technical administration. As set out on the Data Protection & Governance page, authorized technical administration includes account management and impersonation capabilities. The application is not inaccessible to administrators.

Intellectual property

What belongs to us.

URIEL, the URIEL marks, and the underlying frameworks, methodologies and software are owned by YEI or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use URIEL for your own purposes while your subscription is active. Nothing transfers ownership.

Liability

Disclaimers and limits.

Provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, URIEL is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no representation that use of URIEL will produce any specific result.

Availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. Where we discontinue a paid service we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid, unused subscription period pro rata.

Limitation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except as stated below, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Excluded losses. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or loss arising from a decision you made.

What we never exclude. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Termination

Ending the agreement.

You may stop using URIEL and cancel at any time under the Cancellation Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your use presents a risk to another person or to the service. Where we terminate without cause we will refund any prepaid, unused subscription period.

The sections on scope, your content, intellectual property, liability and governing law survive termination.

Governing law

Law, disputes, and your statutory rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

This does not take away rights you have under the law of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, the European Union or Canada, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your local law, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver in these Terms. That is deliberate: such clauses are enforceable in some of the places we sell and not in others, and a clause that fails is worse than none.

Before any formal dispute, please contact us at legal@youngethicalintelligence.com. Most things are resolved quickly.

General

Changes, and how to reach us.

We may update these Terms. Where a change materially affects your rights we will give at least thirty (30) days’ notice by email and show the effective date on this page. Continuing to use URIEL after the effective date means you accept the change.

These Terms, together with the Cancellation Policy and the Data Protection & Governance page, are the entire agreement between us. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest continues. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
